This isn’t a separate Copilot-style chatbot. It’s integrated directly into the search bar inside Settings.
No need to remember the exact name of a setting anymore. Just type what you want in plain language—something like “increase screen brightness” or “enable voice control”. The AI will locate the right option or even apply the change for you.
The best part? It all runs locally on your device. Your requests aren’t sent to the cloud, so your data stays private.
It’s powered by a lightweight, fast language model built into Windows. Responses appear almost instantly, and Microsoft has tuned it to prioritize the most commonly used settings—so you won’t be scrolling through irrelevant suggestions.
It might sound like a small improvement, but think about the time your team spends trying to fix basic issues or enable features. Instead of waiting for IT or searching online, they can simply ask the AI Agent in natural language and get results in seconds.
That means less downtime, fewer interruptions, and employees who feel more confident using their PCs.
This feature is currently being tested on Copilot+ PCs through the Windows Insider Program. It’s a glimpse of where Windows is heading: making everyday tasks faster, easier, and more intuitive.
